In Loving Memory
Ginger

Adopted December 17, 2001 - March 20, 2002

When Ginger came into our rescue organization, she was seriously ill. She had a perforated bowel and needed immediate surgery. The odds of Ginger surviving the surgery were very slim. Our veterinarian was extremely concerned, but wanted to make sure that Ginger had a chance, even if the odds were not in her favor. Happily, with the wonderful veterinary and foster care Ginger was given, she was able to beat the odds. To the amazement of all of us, she managed to regain her strength. She recovered from her illness. Ginger was adopted by a very loving family December 17, 2001. A few months later, Ginger suddenly became seriously ill. During emergency surgery, it was discovered that she had terminal cancer. Ginger passed away March 20, 2002.

Although she was only with her family for a short time, the love they shared was enough to last a lifetime.

All of us at DFW Metro Golden Retriever Rescue wish to thank her adoptive family for the wonderful care and love you gave to this very special girl.

A Note From Her Adoptive Family ...

Ginger was a very loyal and loving companion to our family. During the short time she was with us, she brought us so much love and laughter.

Ginger played "Mommy" to our two younger Goldens. She kept them in line whenever they did anything they shouldn't have. She slept at the foot of my bed, and was always there to give me kisses in the morning.

Everyone in our home, and everyone who knew Ginger will truly miss her.
